"Price Wars" between majors often affect small business - which sometimes result in closure of local small businesses. Often, once the "war" is over, the majors return to "normal pricing" without local competition.

Don't forget the small business will respond to your needs as a regular customer, selecting produce, quality and price according to those needs, the money you spend locally goes back in to the local economy through employment and sponsorship and gives you extra choice and often better service.
New Manager for Jacaranda Festival
Janelle Ellem has been announced as the new manager and organiser for the annual Jacaranda Committee. Janelle officially starts next month.
